Martinsicuro beach

This weekend I have been to the seaside, on the border between Marche and Abruzzo. Going there has been painful but worthy. Painful because crossing the mountains between Tuscany and Abruzzo means driving on small hilly roads, climbing up to 800 meters. Worthy because it’s been a lot of fun.

The official reason for going there was Linux Beach 2006, a meeting of Linux users organized in San Benedetto del Tronto by Camelug. SBT is a wonderful shiny place, with a lot of tourists, palms everywhere and a university that sits just in front of the beach. Actually we barely visited the meeting place (that was hosted by the university) but didn’t attend to any conference. This is because in Martinsicuro, the town right next to SBT driving southbound, lives Alain, a friend who used to work with us back in Wireless Solutions days. Martinsicuro is a wonderful place as well, crowded by tourists coming from Czech republic. Anywhere you look you always see gorgeous blonde czech girls walking around. It looks like the town adapted itself for their tourist target and most indications are writtend directly in czech language. We spent the weekend with Alain, taking sun, eating wonderful fish food and visiting Castelbasso, a small fortified town on top of the hills. Now I’m all burnt ;)

I don’t normally use msn, just sometimes at work when I can’t avoid it. For my personal chatting I prefer jabber and skype. Anyways, you should already see my name in your roster. Let’s see if we meet online despite six hours time difference.
